Day 14

Ice Cream Face
(Instagram)

I won't lie...I almost forgot to take a picture today! I was getting ready for bed, when I went into panic because I didn't have a picture to post. Luckily, it dawned on me I had snapped this cute ice cream face of Josh (my nephew) while at the best ice cream place I have ever been to! It is nothing amazing, but his face was simply priceless and we were all laughing at the site!

Day 13

Abby

We got to watch her and her younger brother play some tee ball while in Washington. I love her big smile with all those missing teeth!

Day 12

Amber's View
(instagram)

This is the view from my sister-in-law's back deck...so jealous!

Day 11

Bison Range

We enjoyed a quick trip through the national Bison Range in Montana and I was in picture heaven. Wish I could share them all on here as they were so neat (and so close)! The sight was quite breathtaking. We finished the adventure with a Buffalo Burger and a huckleberry shake!

And I just can't resist sharing a second image for today. I took so many pictures and simply could not decide which ones I wanted to share. Because we are celebrating Memorial day, I felt that the next image was very appropriate as it is a symbol of our nation.

Bald Eagle

He was probably about 70 feet up in the pine tree's. This was as close as I could get with my 300mm lens. It is the closest I have ever seen an Eagle. A black bird kept dive bombing at him and making all sorts of ruckus. They are certainly stately and graceful.

Day 10

Flat Head Lake

Definitely on the top ten most beautiful places I have ever been! We woke up early today to go to church. There was a perfect stillness over the lake giving it the most beautiful mirrored effect.

Day 9

Pier

I could have photographed this place all day long. This is the pier right next to the lodge we stayed at on Flat Head Lake, Montana.  The old worn boards add such great texture.

Day 8

Slots
(Hipstamatic)

A layover in Vegas on our way to Washington.

Day 7

Globe
(instagram)

We leave tomorrow for Washington and Montana to visit family. Can't wait for the adventures that await!!!

Day 6

Coral
(instagram)

Tonight I noticed the wonderful silhouette that my lamp cast on a piece of coral on my side table. It was a study of light and dark.

Day 5

Lily

The yellow lilies in my garden bloomed today. They were the last to bloom in my collection of red, orange, and yellow. Dave gave each potted plant to me during one of my stays in the hospital 3 years ago. We then planted them in our garden when I returned home. They have a lot of importance to me and I always love seeing them bloom.

Day 4

Shades of Purple

Hydrangea's from Jamie's Garden. I love all the varying shades that show up in just one bundle!

Day 3

Painted Sky

To me, there is nothing like a beautiful sunset to close a day. I love how quickly they change and evolve. On this particular evening, we were out enjoying some time with the dogs when I noticed the beautiful painted sky. It's colors were soft and subdued.

Day 2

Lady Bug on a Rose
(with Hipstamatic)

I found a yellow lady bug on this beautiful rose today. It was at my friend Jamie's house. She even offered for me to cut some roses and take them home. I was absolutely elated!

Day 1

Time

I am trying to learn how to control my time rather than allowing my time to control me! Time is what has held me back from doing this project for years, but I am not going to let another opportunity slip by to challenge myself and my photography skills. I can't wait to see what this year will bring!
